Contemporary First Nations and Mixed European Settler Artist from the Fraser Valley, British Columbia

Tara-Lynn Kozma-Perrin is a Cree First Nations and Mixed European Settler Artist residing in Abbotsford, BC. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of the Fraser Valley, is currently in the process of obtaining her Global Development Studies Degree and has been the recipient of a number of residencies, public art commissions and awards. She is currently the Culture Coordinator for the City of Abbotsford where her work includes the creation and implementation of an Artist in Residence and mentorship program along with cultivating and maintaining relationships with local arts and culture groups. Kozma-Perrin is a multidisciplinary artist who uses sculpture, installation, painting, audio and video to create her work. Creative Placemaking is dear to her heart and important to the work that she does within her community. Major themes within her work include creating opportunities for people of all ages to play and interact with one another, works which attempt to share intangible feelings and emotions and text based murals.
